On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Discuss the role of employment law in the area of personnel management
LO2 Read and analyse employment legislation with a view to being able to make appropriate comment on and application of the tenets of the legislation.
LO3 Form and arrive at appropriate understandings of employment contracts.
LO4 Discuss in detail the legislative responsibilities of employer and employee.
LO5 Demonstrate a clear understanding of the anti-discrimination provisions in Irish Law.
LO6 Describe in appropriate detail the employer’s health and safety responsibilities in employment law.
