Module Description:The aims of the component are to: To provide the learner with practical experience of a structured approach to career decision making as it relates to employment in their course of study; To develop reflective practice in the career decision making process.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Analyse one’s intrinsic motivating factors as part of the career planning process.
LO2 Appraise the course-related careers landscape in the context of one’s transferable skills and the competencies required.
LO3 Develop and implement a personal development plan.
LO4 Design covering letters, curriculum vitae and/or other job application material tailored to particular job specification requirements.
LO5 Plan for and present oneself for different interview process and assessment scenarios.
LO6 Critically reflect on the lessons learned in the career planning process
