Module Description:To provide learners with the skills, knowledge and competencies required by front office personnel to operate in a commercial tourism and hospitality enterprise.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Demonstrate the ability to operate within the front office department of a commercial tourism and hospitality establishment.
LO2 Display a knowledge of front office operations within the overall running of a tourism and hospitality enterprise.
LO3 Be competent in the use of a front office reservation system e.g. OPERA
LO4 Know the principles of revenue and financial control as they apply to front office department.
LO5 Interpret Front office & Accommodation Management reports including the following : room status reports; Rooming Lists; Arrivals Reports; Revenue Reports
LO6 Know the law relating to front office department.
