Module Description:This module aims to provide students with an understanding of the role of management accounting in the management process. It is intended that students will be able to apply the techniques acquired, for planning and decision making
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Describe and contrast the role of the management accounting in planning and decision with financial accounting
LO2 Describe some of the basic cost terms and concepts underpinning management accounting techniques
LO3 Apply The control cycle to food and beverage operation
LO4 Demonstrate an ability to understand the importance of pricing and profitability to hospitality and tourism sector
LO5 Demonstrate the use budgetary techniques to generate cash and profit & loss budgets
