Module Description:To understand the nature of state of the art enterprise software platforms and to develop strategies used in the control of distributed and mobile networks. To understand the theory, principles and practice of network management, including network design, analysis, efficiency and security. To understand the rapidly changing requirements, the likely future developments, and the current network solutions for convergent networks.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Identify, analyse and troubleshoot performance, security and reliability considerations in wired and wireless computer networks.
LO2 Design, build and configure complex routed/ switched traffic engineered network.
LO3 Analyse the key performance factors of a network.
LO4 Manage the design implementation of a network design project developed in the lab.
