Module Description:The aim of this module is to enable the student to acquire a thorough knowledge of a selected number of texts enabling them to develop a sophisticated critical consciousness and awareness of the interrelationship between literature and society.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Evaluate the role played by literature in modern Spanish society
LO2 Read literary texts in Spanish
LO3 Analyse literary texts as works of literature
LO4 Critique literary texts and the role played by these texts in their social and political context in Spanish society
