Module Description:This module aims to provide learners with sufficient knowledge of project management that they can appraise its application within an organisational setting, make recommendations on how productivity can be increased and waste reduces through the application of project management principles, follow a structures approach to planning a project and evaluate a project’s outcomes.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Critique the role of project management plays in delivering on social, organisational and personal benefits and identify factors which impact on project success.
LO2 Integrate basic project management concepts and knowledge areas into a personal knowledge base which learners can relate to established project management bodies of knowledge.
LO3 Demonstrate competency in the application of a basic project management toolkit to support strategic and managerial requirements.

Focus on project selection matrix, task identification, WBS, Estimating, Network diagrams, resource allocation and levelling, budget baseline, Earned value management and use of other PM tools. 3 10.00 Every Week
