Module Description:The aims of this module are to: Understand clearly the key concepts and tools of strategic management and and to develop an ability to interpret management accounting information, analyse performance indicators and analyse pricing within a company.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Understand strategy and its importance
LO2 Evaluate a companys external enviornment, resources and competitive position.
LO3 Complete a strategic audit (SWOT analysis) of an organisation.
LO4 Participate in and influence strategy development in an organisation.
LO5 Critically evaluate the relevant sources of finance available to a business.
LO6 Interpret and critically analyse a set of company accounts and apply relevant ratios to assess performance.
LO7 Use the knowledge and techniques required to enable managers to measure and manage business performance within their organisation.
LO8 Address decision making problems and apply management accounting techniques in arriving at a solution.
