Module Description:To enable student to develop personally as a reflective practitioner by applying the theories and concepts learned in the classroom to the Social Care work environment. To create a safe learning environment before, during and after placement for the student to examine his/her strengths and weaknesses, to assess how his/her values, beliefs, and practices may impace upon clients.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Apply Social Care theory to practice
LO2 Practice various Social Care skills acquired in previous modules while under supervision on placement
LO3 Formulate the criteria for the student’s own preferred area of practice
LO4 Experience the day-to-day role of a Social Carer first hand
LO5 Identify and explore issues relating to personal effectiveness and development.
LO6 Develop the team-working capabilities of each student
LO7 Classify the key components of record keeping system within the learner-diary.
LO8 Allow the student to witness the needs and rights of the various client groups
