Module Description:? To build on student knowledge from research methodology 1. In particular, to provide students with an overview of all standard qualitative research methods relevant to role of Social Care Practitioner ? To enable students to use qualitative research techniques to answer a research question if appropriate ? To foster an approach to research methodology that is sensitive to marginalised groups.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Identify qualitative research techniques to answer a research question
LO2 Determine the components to conduct a sound qualitative research study
LO3 Explain the ethical issues when conducting and disseminating qualitative research
LO4 Evaluate the quality of published research.
