Module Description:The purpose of this module is to facilitate the student in becoming competent in laboratory procedures relating to other modules studied in semester 5
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Synthesise and charcaterise using spectroscopic techniques, a range of inorganic complexes
LO2 Organic reactions and mechanisms-Recording, analysis and discussion of experimental data in laboratory notebooks. Practical exam to assess technical competency.
LO3 Select and perform appropriate methodology to solve analytical problems associated with biological samples.
LO4 Apply the relevant skills to analyse and interpret experimental data obtained from different instruments and be able to effectively report findings
LO5 Plan and execute a practical investigation from problem recognition through to appraisal of results.
