Module Description:The aim of this module is to enable the learner to critically assess the strategic and operational aspects of provisioning, implementing and managing cloud based infrastructural components. Learners will architect, design and implement secure optimised infrastructure environments.The module also enables learners to identify and perform in-depth analysis of the security, performance, and configuration issues associated with virtualised systems.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Assess the suitability of cloud-based architectures to meet the operational and strategic needs of organisations.
LO2 Critically analyse, develop and test architectures for implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions.
LO3 Critically review and analyse emerging technologies in data storage and management on the cloud.
LO4 Design, implement and manage a resilient cloud-based data storage environment.
LO5 Investigate and assimilate alternatives for the provision of cloud services in the context of green economics / energy efficiencies through best practice designs.
