Module Description:This module develops the critical skills needed to compile, analyse, model and demonstrate data visualisation techniques using specific tools and technologies. This module explores and demonstrates the Human Computer Interaction principles and guidelines for modern interface design and user experience.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Develop the critical skills needed to compile, analyse, model and demonstrate data visualisation techniques using specific tools and technologies.
LO2 Design and develop rich media interactive visualisation interfaces e.g. dashboards.
LO3 Critically evaluate the effectiveness of a proposed interface.
LO4 Design and build a UI prototype based on best practice techniques.

Continuous Assessment Individual assignment to develop several interactive data visualisations for real world data (such as housing, education or any national statistics). Continuous Assessment Individual assignment to design and develop storyboards, several interactive visualisations that they will combine on a dashboard in order to showcase key data.
