Module Description:This module aims to equip students with the ability to carry out a comprehensive energy audit of an existing energy system and also to develop monitoring and targeting tools.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Carry out a preliminary assessment of the energy usage of a facility based on historical billing data and develop a performance indicator for that facility.
LO2 Generate linear models for the energy usage of facilities and apply these models to the development a CUSUM system.
LO3 Identify the relevant parameters and specify monitoring equipment for commonly encountered energy systems.
LO4 Analyze data from monitoring systems and generate energy usage and efficiency data for common encountered energy systems.
LO5 Develop a list of prioritized energy conservation measures for a facility.
LO6 Develop a report for an energy audit.
LO7 Describe the issues to be considered when evaluating the energy performance of common energy systems.
