Module Description:This course is designed to provide students with fundamental maths, chemistry and biology needed in a pharmaceutical operations environment.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Complete yield calculations
LO2 Calculate unit conversions
LO3 Identify key functional groups and molecular structure
LO4 Evaluate a series of Physical and Chemical Measurements
LO5 Identify routes of drug absorption, mechanisms of metabolism and excretion.
LO6 Recognise safety symbols and apply safe handling/storage rules
