Module Description:This module provides an overview of a range of professional skills required of a professional working in industry. The module aims to give learners the professional skills to present themselves to employers in the strongest manner. CV preparation, interview techniques and personal communication skills are essential in modern industry and this module aims to develop these in the learners.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Recognise how to identify key competencies in a job description.
LO2 Construct an effective Cover Letter and CV to correspond to the Job Description
LO3 Develop an effective network to improve ones opportunities to find employment / career progression
LO4 Perform effectively at an interview for an identified job vacancy
LO5 Interpret specific job descriptions for roles within the manufacturing sector
LO6 Research and evaluate company performancfe and evaluate relevant employment opportunities.
