Module Description:This practical skills Microbiology module will be delivered in a block of 2 days before the end of semester 3. The purpose of this module is to allow the students study the practical aspects of the Microbiology module being studied in semester 3.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Carry out aseptic technique
LO2 Identify selected bacteria
LO3 Apply appropriate cleaning and disinfecting agents
LO4 Monitor facilities for the presence of biological contaminants
LO5 Use light microscope to study selected bacteria
