Module Description:The module aims to develop an understanding of the modern practice of management. It enables the student to appreciate the appropriate operational management techniques, organisational processes and structure. It outlines business processes, financial statements, tax and business formation. It develops an understanding of regulation.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Examine management techniques.
LO2 Explore the structure of the organisation.
LO3 Examine the formation of businesses.
LO4 Explore the regulatory and legal issues facing managers in an organisation.
LO5 Examine financial management, tax and investment appraisal of projects.
