Module Description:The purpose of this module is to provide students with the opportunity to build on, and apply, learning from the programme to a real-life context as well as create opportunities for situated experience based learning. This work-based learning will take place in an agreed industry context and students will be required to demonstrate learning through experiences, observation, self-evaluation and reflection.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Reflect on and discuss linkages between programme and module learning and their real-life, work based experiences.
LO2 Identify and discuss the importance of a range of skills and competencies in the context of their work based experience and their intended profession such as; communication skills, ethics, confidentiality, taking initiative, working with others, problem solving; time management.
LO3 Reflect on, and learn from, their observations and experiences of work based practice.
LO4 Evaluate the organisation they are placed in against given evaluation criteria.
LO5 Outline the employment opportunities and requirements relevant to their chosen organisation type and its business sector.
LO6 Select and collate evidence of their experiences in practice.

Written Report Students will be required to evaluate the organisation they are working in and their own contribution to the organisation during the placement. This will include their learning from an evaluation meeting with a member of the placement team and how they address issues raised during that meeting.
