Module Description:The aim of this module is to further familiarise learners with grammatical structures and relevant vocabulary necessary to comprehend and communicate in German and to understand the socio-cultural and professional environment of Germany and German speaking countries consistent with Level A1 of the Common European Framework for Language Learning.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Converse in German on topics of a general and specific nature.
LO2 Read and demonstrate an understanding of selected articles in German.
LO3 Write short passages accurately in German using correct grammatical structures and some idiomatic expressions.
LO4 Illustrate an understanding of selected audio and visual materials of a general and subject-specific nature
LO5 Consider, discuss and write about aspects of the society and culture.
