Module Description:Module Aims: This module requires a knowledge and comprehension of Management Accounting 1 & 2. The module aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the role of the Management Accountant. The students should be able to design management accounting systems to suit the needs of businesses and to evaluate the performance of businesses using appropriate performance measures.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Define and explain the main theories, concepts and knowledge which underpins Management Accounting as part of a Management Information System.
LO2 Define and explain Strategic Management Accounting techniques available to assist the Management Accountant in a changing business environment.
LO3 Design and apply Management Accounting and Strategic Management Accounting techniques to a range of information gathering and problem solving situations.
LO4 Discuss and evaluate the strategic performance of a business using appropriate Management Accounting and Strategic Management Accounting techniques.
