Module Description:The aims of this module are to provide the student with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the principles of contract law and areas of commercial law which are relevant to business. This knowledge and understanding will enable the student to operate effectively in relation to matters of a contractual nature, limit the legal exposure of the business and liaise effectively with legal advisers. As law is an ongoing and dynamic subject the syllabus content will be expanded or modified, as the case may be, to reflect developments in the law set out in this Module.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Apply the principles of contract law in relation to business contracts and other contexts.
LO2 Use the principles of agency law in business.
LO3 Critique the impact of consumer law on business transactions.
LO4 Assess the impact of sale of goods and supply of services law in business.
LO5 Evaluate the impact of competition law and data protection law in business.
