Module Description:This module aims to provide students with an overview of the structures, institutions and policies of the European Union in a global context. This enables the students to analyse the impact of the EU on business practices.This helps illustrate the challenges and benefits of the ongoing quest to create a better environment for global trade.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Demonstrate an understanding of contemporary Europe, profile the member states and analyse the structure and performance of European business in a global context.
LO2 Describe the roles and responsibilities of the European Union institutions.
LO3 Explain the implications of EU policies and programmes for business and the global trading environment.
LO4 Assess the relationship between Europe and the rest of the world.
