Module Description:The aim of this module is to provide learners with the skills to investigate, design and manage advanced networking solutions for virtual deployments using a range of mobile devices with different user privileges. The module also enables learners to identify and perform in-depth analysis of the security, performance, and configuration issues associated with virtualised systems. Furthermore, the module will enable learners to evaluate in-depth, the characteristics of a full range of cloud technologies such as MPLS, VOIP and the separation between the control & data planes of software defined networking.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Devise and implement strategies to successfully address the availability, scalability and reliability of cloud infrastructure solutions.
LO2 Provision appropriate secure access based on user profiles.
LO3 Perform evaluations of a small scale virtual environment developed in the lab.
LO4 Analyse the functions and implement components of advanced network architectures such as MPLS and SDN.
