Module Description:The aim of this module is to provide a foundation in both knowledge and skills of Human Resource Management required by managers in the hospitality industry. The module recognises the management of human resources at all levels can critically affect the efficiency and effectiveness of an organisation.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Demonstrate understanding of the importance of effective human resource management for the success of hospitality and tourism organisations
LO2 Differentiate between the concepts HRM and Personnel Management
LO3 Identify the components of the human resource planning,recruitment,selection and reward systems which operate in the workplace
LO4 Apply the theoretical knowledge required for successful staff management
LO5 Design and carry out one-to-one job instruction training
