Module Description:This subject will focus on the strategic use of Information Management within an organisation. Also covered will be legal,regulatory and ethical aspects of the acquisition, processing,retention and analysis of information.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Discuss the alignment of organisation strategy and information strategy
LO2 Identify and implement best practices and standards in relation to management of information for an organisation in the context of the broad legal and regulatory framework on risks arising from data acquisition, processing, retention & analysis.
LO3 Recognise and report on intellectual property issues arising from specific IT implementations.
LO4 Evaluate the strategic value of emerging technologies in relation to data analytics

Typically learners will be required to research and analyse the external environment surrounding the development of an information and data analysis plan for an organisation including an analysis of the legal, regulatory and ethical issues impacted by the plan.
