Module Description:The aim of this subject is to give the student a detailed understanding of LAN switching, routing protocols and the key skills to build a network.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Build a network of switches and routers and troubleshoot
LO2 Design the layer 2 network with an awareness of industry recommendations for architecture, and ensure full knowledge of Spanning-tree design and how this will impact performance and security.
LO3 Build a Wireless LAN
LO4 Implement RIP, OSPF and EIGRP in a network
LO5 Implement Link aggregation
LO6 Write technical report
