Module Description:To provide the student with knowledge and skills in Mathematics relevant to a course of study in science.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Recall and use algebraic skills acquired in the previous module.
LO2 Identify the fundamental principles and laws of differential calculus.
LO3 Employ these laws to find rates of change and extreme value functions.
LO4 Interpret the techniques of integral calculus to calculate the area and volume of functions.
LO5 Evaluate first order differential equations and discuss examples of their uses in chemistry, biology and physics.
