Module Description:This module aims to develop students understanding of children’s abilities and the need to develop individualised learning goals for each child. Students will explore the link between children’s needs and the learning environment. The module will allow students to begin to develop the skills to allow them to work effectively as a multi-professional team in order to advocate for the children they are working with.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Develop learning interventions and supports for children with a range of abilities
LO2 Integrate an understanding of children’s abilities to provide foundations for planning and providing early childcare services and programmes
LO3 Recognise the role of assessment and early intervention in early childhood learning
LO4 Identify the role clinical assessment and intervention in order to allow students to participate and engage effectively as part of a multi-professional team
LO5 Demonstrate an understanding of the methods for providing inclusive play and learning environments for children
