Module Description:This module examines the concepts and processes in evaluating and determining the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation within the Tourism & Hospitality Sector. It uses text concepts and cases to evaluate the drivers of enterprise. This module gives Tourism and Hospitality students the opportunity to address the key issues of business start up, growth and long term survival
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Develop a greater understanding of the process of Entrepreneurship and Innovation
LO2 Demonstrate an awareness of entrepreneurial activity in the Hospitality & Tourism sector both in Ireland and abroad
LO3 Research relevant market data appropriate to entrepreneurship
LO4 Make an informed decision on how to proceed and develop their own ventures within the Tourism and Hospitality Industry
