Module Description:The purpose of this module is to provide management students with the knowledge, information and awareness of mathematical and statistical tools which are useful in their field of study.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Calculate the value of investments, annuities and repayments.
LO2 Organise and present statistical data, and from this calculate summary statistics.
LO3 Analyse relationships between two variables.
LO4 Describe price changes using index numbers.
LO5 Calculate the probabilities of compound events and use the Binomial and Poisson probability distributions.
