Module Description:The aim of this subject is to give the student the skill-sets required to configure routers and switches in computer networks.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Explain the concepts of VLANs and routing with static routes and dynamic routing protocols.
LO2 Describe the metrics involved in routing protocols and how routing tables are constructed.
LO3 Practically, configure and troubleshoot static routes and dynamic routing protocol physically in a lab environment and using a simulator.
LO4 Design and implement IP subnets efficiently and securely.
LO5 Write a technical report on a selected networking case study.
