Module Description:The aim of this module is to provide students with understanding of the fundamental principles informing the design and operation of audio and photographic equipment, and comprehension of the historical development of these technologies over the course of the twentieth century and to comprehend the technology of the new digital media landscape within a historical context.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Understand the principles and application of Analogue Audio equipment
LO2 Comprehend and apply the conventions, protocols, manipulability and transfer of digital Audio
LO3 Understand the historical development of and principles behind photography
LO4 Familiarity with the historical progression of light theory and light’s characteristics
LO5 Understanding and application of the principles and practice of digital photographic equipment
LO6 Comprehension of the human context informing the development of these audio visual technologies
