Module Description:The aim of this module is to impart the structures and vocabulary necessary to comprehend and communicate in German and to understand the socio-cultural environment of Germany (and other German-speaking countries).
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
LO1 Converse in German on general topics
LO2 Read and understand selected articles and be able to answer questions thereon
LO3 Follow selected audio, film and video materials of a general nature and discuss the content
LO4 Discuss and write about a range of topics of general interest in German
LO5 Make a presentation about a researched topic
LO6 Hold a short telephone conversation. Write a brief fax/memo
